Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Many planned episodes ofStar warfare : The Clone Warswere never finished , but newStar Warsfootage featuring Boba Fett and Anakin Skywalker has been revealed . This comes courtesy of the Lucasfilm Animation panel atStar Wars Celebration 2025 , where Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni talked about the crowd ’s experience working on the show . He then transition into talking about one of the most pop unproduced arcs .
The raw footage shows an incomplete animatic edition of a scene involving untried Boba . Cad Bane and his droid Todo are on Coruscant while Boba flies through traffic , only to be quest after by Anakin . Boba shoots down Anakin ’s speeder , and the two engage in a fierce duel that ends with Boba getting away . Anakin talk to Mace Windu on a communicator and admits that he has n’t found the assassins yet , now that the new bounty hunting watch has escape :
This cartridge clip reveals a unexampled side to Boba and Cad Bane ’s electric arc , facing off against the Jedi at the heart of the Republic . It ’s also fascinating to see Anakin campaign Boba directly , years before he would eventually hire him as Darth Vader .
Why Was The Boba Fett Arc Cut?
The Clone Wars was canceled when Disney bought Star Wars
Like many unproduced episode ofThe Clone Wars , this Boba Fett arc was canceled when Disney boughtStar Wars . Shortly after the season 5 finale air in 2013,Disney announced thatThe Clone Warswould be one of many projection wander down to make way for new endeavors . A shortened time of year 6 premiered a twelvemonth later on on Netflix , but several planned sequence were forever left incomplete .
Star war : The Clone Wars may have been bring back for a 7th season , but several planned electric arc were never released as amply completed episode .
Will We Ever See This Boba Fett Arc?
It may have been teased as a possibility
As fascinating as this Boba Fett electric arc may have been , many fans have long accepted that it would probably never be released in any form . A few clips have been shown over the years , as well as a basic description of the plot , but that seemed to be the most we could go for for . However , when the raw footage was shown at Star Wars Celebration , Filoni had a very interesting remark on the subject :
" This is from a story that ’ll probably never pass … well , maybe … "
After all , other unfinishedClone Warsepisodes were finally released , most notably with the 7th and concluding season on Disney+ . There was also the Clone Wars Legacy project , which adapted certain arcs intoStar Warsnovels , comics , and story Virginia reel , so it ’s not out of the question to see something like that . Either way , this is an exciting Modern reveal for sports fan ofStar Wars : The Clone Warswith the potential for something more down the road .
