Even without recognise it , Melissa has been holding tightly to the belief that her father once screw her , and accepting that this was a lie broke down the remaining walls she had up .
However , the fight is far from over , asthis realization is what allowed Melissa to in the end examine what has been fuel Keith ’s desire to help set up Elijah freeand title that he was the one who belt down Heather . All the heavy work and the slow breakthrough of the accuracy have been build to this moment , and nowHappy Facehas set itself up for a frantic elan to the finish that will change the characters ' life story evermore .
The reveal of Hazel ’s sequent killer - esque draftsmanship was a disturbing twist in " My Jesperson Girls , " but neither Ben nor Melissa seems equip to handle what ’s going on with her . Though Ben has been truly furious with Melissa for her behavior and hope to keep her father in her life history , he has n’t been work with much more foresight or maturity . Each of the lineament has alienated themselves from each other and their life , and in the home stretchiness ofHappy Face , I wish the serial had been more reliable about their motive and more sympathetic to them .

Throughout the integral episode , I was feeling for Ben , but decide to put a smasher out on Keith is a conclusion that ’s too badly - suggest to understand . There are only a few ways such a dangerous and illegal move can stop , and none end with the family safe and happy . I sympathise why Melissa had to leave behind to hear and fix the trail of error she ’s leave in her backwash since start the investigation , but leaving her children yet again establish thateven though she ’s come to bobby pin with Keith ’s deportment , she has n’t faced the truth about her own .
In many ways , it feels likeHappy Facehas been rehashing the same themes and idea since the first installment , and that the characters should ’ve do to these conclusions much earlier . At the beginning of the season , I was expectingHappy Faceto grapple more directly with the role of true crime and its voyeuristical lens as a series , but the taradiddle has gotten lost in the nitty - gritty elements of the personal drama . unluckily , I ’m not trusted if any of the characters have been develop enough to classify the series as part - driven , which would make up for this .
