“ Mr. Monk and the End ” was a great finis for the show , last giving Adrian the closure he needed after years without knowing who killed Trudy . However , compared to how unpredictable and high - bet “ Mr. Monk is on the Run ” was , Monk ’s series finale was not that impactful . Adrian does not even puzzle out Trudy ’s case all by himself – he find a tapeline that does most of the job .
Tony Shalhoub ’s beloved tec returned in Mr. Monk ’s Last Cast : A Monk Movie to great fanfare , but will there ever be a Monk 2 ?
I do n’t have a problem with howMonkended , but I was a bragging fan of season 6 ’s finale and always thought it was more thrilling and intense . The estimation of Monk being accused of toss off the man he had research for since Trudy ’s expiry made for a great story and could ’ve been an even good series closing curtain forMonk .
