It was also limited by powering itself through the Force Harvester , which Jedi could teach themselves to defend against with clip . It ’s not as brutal a fate for force-out - sensitives as the mentation bomb , though the Sith would n’t be probable to destroy themselves either .

The Star Forge was create by the Rakatan Infinite Empire , which ruled much of the galaxy in an era before the Republic . It drained energy from stars - like Starkiller Base inStar Wars : The Force Awakens- powering shipyards that could quickly churn out a massive fleet . Darth Malak eventually discovered the Star Forge and attempted to conquer the Republic , but he was defeated by his former victor , Revan , who had grow back to the light .
The Rakatan Star Forge was suggest as becoming canyon in an installment of Star Wars : Rebels , a proposition made even stronger by Andor ’s KotOR references .
